CDSF undertakes research to identify financial obstacles that limit the success of social finance and social enterprise initiatives. All research findings are publicly available.

CDSF research projects are initiated in response to recurring questions surrounding sustainable and socially responsible investing and social enterprise initiatives.

Microlending Study
CDSF tackled a challenge facing microlenders: access to money. In 2006, CDSF worked with microlending institutions from India and Tajikistan to determine whether they collect their lending data in formats that would attract more investment money.

Solar Panel Financing
CDSF examined the factors that limit the wider deployment of solar panel use in homes and small businesses.

CDSF's social finance research is cutting edge.
